Six Weeks
Luke is getting so big! He is nursing so well and has the CHEEKS to prove it! He loves warm baths, to be held, and to sleep in his SWING during the day. His digestion issues seem to be getting a little bit better and so he is sleeping better on his back in his little bed at nights and he is even going 3 hours between feedings some nights! YEAH! It's funny how 3 consecutive hours of sleep feels like 9 or 10 hours at this point. Ryan sleeps by the baby because he is better at sleeping through the endless grunts and groans that Luke emits consistently throughout the night.
Max LOVES his little brother and always wants to be in his face. He gets right up to him and in his best baby voice says "Hi, Hi, Hi, Baby". He wants to hold the baby every day, usually for only a few seconds at a time. He takes the burp cloth, slings it over his shoulder and says "Hold Baby." Then he tries to get Luke to burp, which I am all for seeing as Luke is very stubborn about giving up his burps. When we first brought Luke home, any time he would cry, MAX would cry too. He didn't like it when the baby was sad. He is pretty much used to it by now, but still doesn't like when the baby cries.
We are tired but happy. SLEEP deprivation can only last so long. We can't wait for another 6 weeks!

He is so sweet! I can't believe our babies are only 2 weeks apart. It seemed like an ETERNITY after you had Luke that I had Charlotte. :) It sounds like everyone is adjusting well. Good luck with the running!
You are the woman if you are already up for running! Run a mile for me PLEASE!!! Luke is adorable and I always love seeing the sibling photos - precious moments for sure! Hope you are doing well!
CALLI,
What a sweet surprise to hear from you. I just caught up with your last couple of months of life and I miss you! You sound like me after 6 weeks post partum. My baby is already turning 1 this month but after she was 6 weeks old a friend of mine and I started training for a 1/2 marathon!!! That was a crazy 4000 caleries/day regimen to keep up with all the running and nursing, but I only survived because I found a treadmill on craigslist and the weather was nice enough to go running outside with my friend. You are SO beautiful and just as amazing as ever. Your family is so so cute. Thanks for leaving a comment so I could find you.
Love,
Gaylene
I love the picture of your hand holding his little feet. So darn cute! What a good brother Max looks to be -- I hope the sleep deprivation gets less and less for you guys. Sad to admit it, but I always celebrate when they hit that 3month point and the colic stops!
