He's Home!
Ryan came home tonight and all I have to say about that is "It's about time." It's so nice to have him back. He didn't enjoy this trip to Seoul, Korea and Manila, Philippines as well as he did his trip to Sydney, but he still enjoyed seeing more of the world and experiencing different cultures. We sure missed him. Max is still awake and it's 10 pm which goes to show how much he missed his daddy. He's not going to go to sleep until he's sure Daddy isn't going to sneak out in the middle of the night.
While he was gone, my little sister Carrie had her baby on December 1st. Addie Jo came to join the family after a pretty miserable journey getting here but finally arrived and was 6 1/2 lbs. and 20 inches long. That is a tiny baby for those of you who are familiar with Hassman babies. In fact, she is the tiniest one so far (I think). I haven't been able to meet her yet as Ryan has been gone and the weather hasn't been cooperating as it should for such road trips. I hope to meet her soon and have some wonderful pictures to post. Now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of another little girl probably before Christmas...Ashley is hoping so anyway. Also, Jolea will be finding out just before Christmas what they will be having. This puts the count up to 16---Nana is going to have to build a barn outback before too long to have a place to put everyone.
There is nothing like a new baby to put life back into perspective. They renew my sense of hope, innocence, and purity. I am grateful today for my family, especially all the children. I can't wait for Christmas when the majority of us will be together. We will miss Ashley's family as she will be home with, or having a baby. What an exciting and very loud holiday it will be!
