Loveless-Beatty Camp Trip #2

What happens when the Loveless' and the Beatty's decide to go camping?

1. We spend a lot of time looking for a camping spot

2. Divine intervention helps us to find each other when cell phones don't work

3. We set up camp in the dark

4. The entire campsite was a ghost site when we got there...

5. By the next morning we had lots of new friends and had to move our entire camp because we were in a reserved site, which happened to be the best and had the most shade.

Here we are by our new campsite trying to find any shade we can.

BUT...
there is plenty of time for whittling...

and exploring...and bird watching.Our men know how to make a good fire......which kept the little ones entertained for hours. The new 8 man tent we got for Dad was great.It kept us out of the rain (and stayed dry inside)...and trapped all the bugs outside the tent...which made for very happy campers!

Independence Day

Loveless Family Reunion-the 1st

We held our 1st Annual (?) Loveless Family Reunion this June in Midway.

The house was just perfect, 8 bedrooms, lots of bathrooms (a requirement), pool, ping pong, large kitchen, basketball, sand volleyball, fire pit, hotub, playground, theater room, etc. It took some doing nailing down the details and arrangements for 7 different families, but in the end it was well worth it and so much fun.

The hottub was a hit with the kids, well, all but Luke.

Huck Finn's Place

While we were in Midway, some mission friends of Paul and JoAnn's invited all 27 of us to come to their house and play. I was expecting a swing set and maybe a trampoline and what we got just a short 1/2 mile down the road from where we were staying was Huckleberry Finn's secret hideout. Seriously. I'm talking acres of lush green property nestled back in trees with a creek, climbing wall, hollowed out trees for exploring, rope swings, zip lines, bunkhouse, tennis courts, and horses (which they offered to let us ride). It was the most incredible place and the kids absolutely loved it!
